Summer Term Week 12

Hello,

I really can’t believe that it is the end of term and what a great term we have had!!

I want to say thank you to you all for your support since I have taken over, all your kind words really do mean the world to me. We have lots of exciting plans for next year and look forward to sharing these with you over the next few weeks.

We haven’t followed a plan this week, it has all been child led and we have had a great time as have the children. The ladies have been doing their favourite circles of the year – volcanoes, caterpillars, colour mixing experiments, sticky kids, ball games and dancing!

Graduation yesterday was really good – I was a bit nervous about talking in front of everyone but I managed and have to do it all again today! We are so proud of the all the children leaving us today and yesterday, it has been a pleasure to see them all develop and grow and we are really looking forward to seeing the stars flourish in the year ahead.

We haven’t taken many photos this week as we have been finishing off our books but I will upload what we have – mainly activities.

We would also like to thank everyone for your kind gifts and cards and thank yous – it is very kind of you all, we love what we do.

And finally, we have 2 really big goodbyes to make. Firstly, Andrea is leaving after 11 years of being the deputy and SENDCO. In this time she has helped countless children and their families and has always worked passionately to get them every bit of support they can. We will miss all the laughs , guidance, first aid help!, steadiness and calm nature. We are wishing her the best of luck for her future.

And we are also saying a massive goodbye to Mandy as she retires (her official date is 31st August) from Pre School – today is her last day with the children. Mandy has worked at Pre School for an incredible 26 years. Mandy’s commitment has shaped the Pre School and generations of children have flourished because of her care and unwavering dedication – she is always at the fund raising events and also supports our committee. She will forever be part of Pre School and we want to wish her a happy retirement – when she eventually gets there!!!

That’s it from me for now, I hope you all have a fantastic summer. For those going to school, we wish you all the luck in the world and for those staying, we are looking forward to seeing you all back in September.

Thank you, Louise x
